Rainy Day Shutdown
Have an unusual problem with 2002 7.3L Powerstoke. Truck has approx. 85K miles. Started shutting down intermittently. Replaced batteries, replaced oil, drained water separator, replaced fuel filter and air filter. Didn't fix it. Had CPM replaced which solved problem until it rained. Had wiring checked, found some burned insulation on harness but no apparent wire damage. Mechanic repaired wiring and changed out new CPM thinking it may have been defective. Runs fine except when it rains. Will shut down intermittently - restarts immediately. Any Ideas?

IDM could be getting wet. It is mounted in the drivers side fender well. To get to it you have to remove the inner fenderwell part way. I have seen them get wet and short out. Are you getting any codes?
