need help!!! questions about a truck

ok so i would for the Town PWD and today while plowing the 20"s of snow god graced us with last night, the guy plowin with out dump body blew the motor... i was just wondering what a guestimate would be on the value of the truck... its a 1999 f550 7.3L mason body with a plow. its only got 102k on it and is in fairly good shape.. i know the ups and downs of teh truck because i drove it myslef all summer... just wondering what the value was.. was possibly thinking of pickin it up if i could get it cheap enough. there new onw should be in this week so i dont think they will be fixing this one

It depends on what "blew the motor" means.

Did it quit running and wouldn't start or.... did internal motor pieces become external?

I agree, if the motor was indeed shot, I would say 4-5 grand at the most.

not even... i wouldnt pay over 1000 for a truck with a blown motor. unless the motor was salvageable...
