A boost fooler is nothing more than a relief valve set at around 20 psi. It just keeps the computer from ever seeing over that amount. If the computer sees over i think 21 psi (I could be wrong on that number) it will defuel and go into a limp mode and set a service engine soon light.
However, if the computer doesent see any boost (unplugged) than it will never give you much fuel at all because it has to wait for the boost to build up before giving full fueling anyways. Full fuel at no boost = smoke and ford doesnt want that. |
