well my baby has been in the shop and come to find out my tranny is near failure......... so im having some gas tank seals replaced oil leak fixed and a complete stock4r100 rebuild with performance torque converter not sure what brand yet........ but tell me if this is a good deal $3800 parts and labor fluids and flush also includes gas tank seals and labor and oil leak

the price doesnt sound that bad but you should find out what kind of tranny rebuild kit there gonna use and what brand TQ there instaling.... i just ordered all the parts for my tranny .. here is a list of the stuff i ordered so you can get an idea of what goes into the rebuild and you can ask them some appropriate questions...just fyi these parts are ordered from TCI... they sell a complete drop in tranny (not a rebuild kit) for around 6k with all this stuff installed... rated at 600+ HP

thanks man hughes performance tc..... (local builder) or ats triple lock either one doesnt change the price...... as for the tranny complete stock ford rebuild..... with 3 year warrantee

with the mods you have you should be ok with a stock tranny but if your gonna have it rebuilt already i would suggest to put in some better clutches like alto ones and a trans go kit.... there are few people on here that have the trans go kit and say it makes a huge differance on how it performs.... it shouldnt bring the price up that much.. talk to your shop and ask them about it... if not maybe just a shift kit then..... just my suggestions....fix it now to withstand your mods and future mods then having to fix it again later when it breaks...... good luck

i would like to do thatbut i dont have the funds ...... hopfully when im done with school i can get a better paying job then im not gonna stop with mods..... i have a whole list of stuff already

do you have a breakdown on what moneys going where?

only reason I ask is because an oil ieak can cost 5 dollars to repair yourself and I'm not sure exactly what it is your doing to the fuel tank but seeing how much is going there can help us figure out the "is this a good deal?" scenerio.

well it was 2700 for a complete stock rebuild and then i had him upgrade the tc which is 1000 with a deal then hundered for the seals on the fuel tank then the oil leak was coming from the pipe right below the y pipe no charge

Let them fix the oil leak, you fix the diesel or fuel tank and take the rest of the money and get a biult tranny from BTS or Suncoast or ATS. You will be alot happier in the end. BTS tranny is just under 4000 comes with 2 year unlimited miles unlimited horses.
