01 engine question

I have a question for all the 7.3 owners. What kind of MPG should I be getting?

mpg

I got around 12 to 14 in town stock and 16 to 18 on the highway stock. Now I get about 15 in town and 17 to 21 on the highway with the chip.

Expect 15-18. 20's hard to come by in 7.3, very large engine, lots of displacement.

I get anywhere between 9 to 13 mpg and it doesn't seem to mater weather its hwy or city driving. I have a superchip 1705. I usualy have a pretty light foot.

One more question has any one had a problem with power? Mine sometime will have really good power and about 18 mpg, but most of the time it seems really doggy. When I was having good power I thought it my be where I was getting fuel but that was not the case because I never got the power back.
Does anyone have ideas what could be the cause? The truck has alway seemed to have this problem
Thanks
