Need help!!! LOW BOOST??

for all the mods in my truck wouldt you think my boost would be higher than 20,21,22 i just replaced the fuel filter today and not much of a difference and ive been lookin at all the boots and cant hear any loose air comin out??

any ideas guys thx

Nope!!! Not with "The Diablo" , if you had some better tunes you would probably have more boost. Check all your boots for tight clamps, you may pick up a couple pounds. Look for black soot at the up pipe connections. and make sure you don't have a kink in the boost line, the most common problem is where the boost line attaches to the back of the gauge, if the cut isn't close to a 90 degree cut you will loose a bit. But I really think you're expectations were a little high. I would still check the above and you may hit 25psi.

Thx hornet for the info ill get checkin that stuff right away but wow another thing wrong with that dam diablo I swear that thing is pointless!

Yep, you would be much better off getting some custom tunes. I have yet to find one person that has run generic and custom that said they liked the generic stuff better. That should speak volumes to you, it did to be 6-7 years ago!!

Even with the crom file you are running now,,those numbers are low.You should easily be hitting 26 to 28.I ran that very same tune for 2yrs with no problems.

When the boost is at 20 the egts are I think at 8-10..... I think

I honestly don't know because I bought the truck with the gauges already installed.

But next time I get on it ill check.

I've been waiting for the dealer I bought it from to call me back for more info on the truck that he's gettin from the previous owner.

open up your hood and see if there is a EGT probe on the down pipe... also you can check your driverside manifold for a egt probe as well.... if the probe is on the downpipe then its in the wrong location and your temps are actually 200-300 degrees higher than what your reading
