Best 7.3 ever made

This is just a post of interest, I know out of all generations of the 7.3's there are a lot of differences (intercoolers, forged rods, single and split shot injectors) So whats everyone's opinion on what year(s) were the best 7.3's made and why.

First off, all 7.3's are the best diesels ever made. But if i have to put a year i wold say 02-03 7.3's would be the best just do to the looks. No much of an engine difference in the SD's though.

I would call Forged Rods a huge difference!!! Because of this the 2000 are most sought by folks wanting to build big power. The HP rating did increase each year, but a tuner equals that out. I wouldn't trade my Y2K for anything!!!

I wasn't really talking about the body style just the motors, I have a 99.5 and Love the fact that I have forged rods i just wish the truck came with single shot injectors but that's all being upgraded shortly anyways :-)

Yep, Y2k is the best for the engine. All the improvements over the early 99 plus none of the bad mojo that happened with the 2001 and up. Didn't the trannys have some funky diode condition from 2001 on up as well.

I do like the headlights from 03-05.
