Went to the darkside
Well I have always said. I will always use dino oil until they stop making it. Well today I turned myself into a liar. I got my oil changed today and I went with Rotella 5w40 synthetic.
Seems to make my truck run a little smoother. My truck has 200,000+ miles on it. I have always used Rotella 15w40. But this winter it has already gotten down into the negative numbers on the thermometer. So I decided to give 5w40 a try. I will see how it works out for me this week. |

I too thought the worst!!! But really as cold as it gets by you I would have switched to the 5w 40 a long time ago, at least for winter use.
