more tuner questions

i purchased my excursion with a edge programmer already on it. i just leave it in 1 and drive around. i just like it because it monitors my perameters. im about to go on a 4000 mild road trip from alaska to tennessee, towing a 18ft trailer. my question is i want something for my tranny to help it out since the edge does nothing for it. should i just ditch the edge and get a programmer that does both and just get gauges. or get a tranny programmer, and if so which one.

Go back and make sure you have the supporting mods that should have been done prior to running any tunes, especially custom!!!
Better flowing intake,
Straight Pipe or BTM muffler for the stock exhaust, you don't need a 4" system!!
A Valvebody for the trans to shorten the shifts.
The very first item should be gauges!!!

PM Me with any ?

talk to any of the custom chip vendors and confirm this, but I'm sure I've seen you can keep the edge for the gauges and run a different chip. Bill at PHP used to do the tuning for edge I don't no if he still does though.
