truck died going down the road
While on my way to work this evening my truck died going down the road. It was running fine, pushed the clutch in and it died. Tried to restart nothing. I noticed that I don't have the wait to start light. Also no check engine came on before this happened. This is a 99 ford (7-98) F350 manual tranny, with 120,000 on it. I had the cps recall done, but I supposed it could have went bad.

Since you ought to have a spare CPS I would start there. If you don't get two of them. I am going to have Ford just give me the new sensor, I have heard of to many of these new sensors failing, afterall they went from $175.00 to $30 no surprise there. I would also check to make sure you are getting fuel with key on by opening the fuel bowl, you should get a get solid stream out of the drain line.

Try the numebr 30 fuse. If it is blown, disconnect the fuel heater plug. It is right below fuel filter. Then replace fuse. The wait to start light should light up. You should be ready to go.
