Need 4wd vacuum help!!!!!

I have a 2002 F250 7.3 that the front auto hubs keep engaging when not switched into 4wd. I disconnected the vacuum lines at the hubs to stop this but I really need my 4wd in alaska! My heater controls also will only stay in defrost mode. Has anybody have this happen to them?

no but my trucks vacuum system is shot. i have a 02 as well. i just rely on my manual lockout warns and they get me thru alot lol

Why not just lock them in manually and leave them there until Spring? I don't use the vacuum system to engage the hubs ever, instead, I manually go out and turn the hubs as needed.

Your heater only blowing through the defrost is a symptom of no vacuum in the vacuum operated HVAC system. You have a vacuum leak or a dead vacuum pump.
