so got below zero last night and don't think the station had winter mix. Anyway, pickup gelled up and i put 911 in the tank and changed the filter and put 911 in there as well.
1. wondering what else i can do to get it to start?? live in an apartment with no access to heated garage or anything and it's plugged in now.?
2. wondering what temp it has to be outside for the fuel to ungel?
hmm, thats a good ? ... i think the 911 should melt the fuel in the tank, i would also put the charger on the batteries, seeings how you have probably been cranking on it for a while, good luck!
Boy, I would have thought Everybody carried "winter-mix" by now...
Plugging-in should help I would think, with all you've done so far it should start after it's been plugged in for 3hrs. Are you sure that's your problem?
Once started, you could add 3-4 gallons of kero to the tank to make it winter mix maybe.
You have done about everything that you can. I would open the fuel bowl drain valve and turn the key on until you get good looking fuel out. Of course you need a hose on the drain line and run into a clear container.
30* should be more than enough. It was 15 the other night I was fine.
