s&b users?

i just put the s&b intake system on my truck couple days ago. i was wondering does yalls intake tube sit right up on the foil? also did you loose mpg when you put the intake on. i was getting around 20 plus on the hwy now the best i am getting is around 18. just figured it would help mpg not hurt it. .other than that i love the way it sounds and looks. thanks for the help.

I didn't have any clearance issues. All the pics I have are not a good representation cause it looks like the IC tube is touching the intake, but it's not. No wear marks from engine vibration either. Installed about 7-8 months ago. I also had mileage gains, although they were small until i gutted the exhaust. 1-1.5 mpg increase.

You could always remove the foil... ^_^
