Glow plug Light
The glow plug light on the dash stays on sometimes after i have started the truck, it will only shut off if i turn the truck off and restart it...

The light is a idiot light controlled by the PCM, it doesn't mean the GP's are being powered. But I have no idea why it would stay on, should shut off after about 12-15 sec. I would still scan it for codes. I will scan it for you if you live close, remember these are not OBDII compliant so the free scans at Pep Boys won't read them.
