07 steering box fit a 2001?

Does any one know if i bought a 07 steering box with a pitman arm if it would fit an 01?

would a 2wd gear box work on a 4wd?

It bolts up but the lines are different. Any shop that specializes in rebuilding steering boxes can get you the right lines. I was always told the older gear boxes(99-04) are a good bit stronger. Plus the 05-07 4wd ones had a few technical service bulletins on them. Also the pitman arms on the 99-04's are different than the 05-up ones.

The one i am looking at has the pitman arm on it with the lines, 300 bucks, new take off.
I may just get the right one then, Dont want to screw with figuring it out or having it not go right in.

I thought you already ordered a new one???? I would have never of thought a 07 would bolt right up, good to know!!

Spoke with red head steering yesterday. They have nice ones. My wife is spending money on a new kitchen floor. I am waiting a few days to have enough money to buy one.
