Reading Codes

Does anybody know how I can read codes on a 7.3? OBDII is not supported, so that reader doesn't work. I was thinking of a programer that would read them, but they seem to be inferior to the good chips, and I don't really need a chip. It seems that buying an Edge is the least expensive way, because the code readers all seem to be pro models, and not cost effective for us home mechanics..........Thanks............George

Go to Ebay and find a old Superchips 1705 programmer, don't use the tunes but it will read all the codes, or better yet buy the AE software from ITP and be able to run diagnostic tests as well as read all the codes.

about 320-330 and if you have a laptop you can get Automotive Engenuity.... don't know if that is out of your price range.. or if you even have a laptop.

So let me ask you this - can I use my Superchips 1705Tuner on my '00 Excursion to read the service engine soon codes even though it is currently being used in my '97 F250?

Just recieved AE Software

I gave myself a Christmas present, just recieved AE Ford bundle! To test the system, the warnings say to use 'manufacturers instructions'. Where do I get these, or should I worry about these?.....George

Go to ITP diesel and they have all the info on how to set up the parameters for the AE. You will love it, I am still learning mine and everytime I use it I am amazed at what it will do.
