odd sound

I just recently changed my tune to the 85hp performance tune from the 65hp economy tune its been on forever. Under hard acceleration right when i start to let off the gas, i hear a sound like a knocking, but it doesn't sound like a rod. Could it be my waste gate acting up? I've never heard this sound before with the other tune even when i would stomp on it. I don't really drive the truck hard at all. I was just toying around with it because I upped the tune. The truck drives fine otherwise. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds are very hard to diagnose over the internet without being there. Maybe you can post a audio file otherwise I am just guessing as is everyone else!!

Wastegate? Mine makes a noise after I let off but its not a knocking noise. You can hear my waste gate better with an aftermarket intake also.

WOW mine does the same thing!! I thought the lifters were trying to float!! I am subscribing because I took mine off and just left on 80 hp setting.... SO i am curious as to what you here??

sounds just like you described, like lifters or something, but why only when i let off the gas under boost. and i am running the 80hp setting aswell

Well I let off because of the noise and it sounds like you described as well....... The 140 hp setting scared that it was fixing to blow and I am not that brave!!
