Still under warranty???

I have an '02 f-250 w/7.3. I bought it used about 3 years ago and have never had a single problem, until today. It sounds like I may have a slight rod knock, definately not a noise I've heard before and it seems to speed up and slow down with the RPM. The odometer just turned 90,000mi. and I do regular oil changes. Is the engine still covered under the 100,000 mile warranty since I bought it used? I puchased it from a Ford dealership if that makes any difference. Thanks

YEP 5 years or 100K whichever comes first!! Diesels always sound totally different when cold, it's probably nothing!! A 7.3 failing at 90K isn't very common at all!!!

Update.......I'm getting a DTC P0603 What is it and can it be fixed??? Thanks

The code that was pulled up is this P0603 Internal Control Module KAM Error.

KAM stands for Keep Alive Memory!!!!

This will show up when you unhook the batteries or something of that nature. Do you do anything like this?

I changed batteries a few months ago so maybe its from then. What its doing now is when I start it it , let me see if I can explain, it runs like I'm taking my foot and mashing the gas and then lift, then mash, then lift and so on, but not reving it up, just mashing and lifting quickly, almost like i'm holding the pedal down and turning the ignition on and off real fast. If I touch the pedal while its doing this it smooths out and idles normal. I don't know if that makes any sense....I'm going to make a video in the morning so I can show what its doing.

Sounds like a GP system failure, check out the sticky at the top of the 7.3 section.
