HISSING NOISE EVER SINCE WEATHER GOT COLDER

It was 25 degrees out today and for a while my truck would make a hissing noise (cshhhhhhhhhhhh) whenever i barely pressed on the peadal. it did not make the noise at idle or when i had it press 1/4 the way down or more.
what is this? is this the ebpv? it went on for at least 5-7 mins of driving

yeah its just the truck warming up I beleive... sounds pretty awesome I think!

Mine does the same thing its that valve closing to help ur truck warm up faster mine does it when it idles too weird how urs only does it when ur driving??

ebpv. Mine does it too when just cruising while holding the throttle steady. Sounds cool as ****

Must be your first winter with your truck. We really need to make this a sticky!! The EBPV will open when the truck is under a load that is why you hear it more at idle.

It scared the crap out of me first time I heard it. My first powerstroke was a van. You should hear how loud the hissing is when the turbo is about ten inches from your right leg!!!!!! I thought I blew an intake boot or something. I still have that van.....just rolled over 321,000 with seven stock injectors and only one trans rebuild.

haha so many ppl are scared of that sound.. with 5" it pisses the neighbours off pretty bad in the morning, the old lady behind me said shed buy me a gas engine lol

its -20C here tonight bloody cold and my poor truck makes the noise everyday..its never ending lol
