15 inch rims on 1996 f 250?

Hi folks,

Do you know if it is possible to run 15 inch wheels on a '96 f250? Seems like R15 tires are cheaper than r16's.

Right now, I run 285's. If I added wheel spacers and cut enough of the front bumper out to avoid rub there, how big of tires could I squeeze and avoid the leaf spring rub?

The truck is not lifted.

Thanks!!
