Wont go into park need HELP.......

I have a 2000 F250 7.3 with the auto trannie. It has started to have play in the shifter on the colum. Sometimes it will go into park but most of the time it dont. I checked under the truck at the trannie and everyting seems to be tight with no play. So i'm thinking it might be in the colum. Is there anything in there that can come loose and allow this to happen? Is there a write up on dropping the colum on this truck ( I searched but didnt find one ) I did read somewhere that there are some brass torque screws in there that might work loose and allow this to happen.
Any thoughts and advice will be helpful.
Thanks
Cliff

At the bottom of the column there are 2 torx bolts where the shift linkage hooks. I have seen those bolts come loose on many trucks with your same problem. Easy fix, just lay on the floor and tighten them up, no need to pull the column.

Well I looked under the colum and there were 2 loose torq screws. I tightened them up and it fixed it. This forum has saved me some more money
