My trans normally ran between 160-180, stock it was like 160. But before my built trans I saw up to 205 degrees on the stocker, plowing down a dirt road with a foot and a half of snow. That stocker was a beast. lol

To answer your / normal trans temps are 70-90 over ambient temps. The lesser when unloaded and the upper when towing heavy. Mine runs about 60 over ambient with the 6.0 cooler. If you see sustained temps over 200 degrees I would want more cooling. 210 -220 is my pull over temp, let idle in park until temps come down, unless you were about to crest the top of the hill and then I would get to the top as fast as possible while staring at the gauge. Mine will go all winter and the gauge will never move!!
