early 99 with a 5R110

Could it be possible to retro fit a 5R110 out of a 05 into a 99 with a 7.3 and what all would need to be changed? Anyone tried this?

subscribed I was debating on the 6 speed allison but it turned into a pretty harsh thread lol I would atleast like to fit the 5R in there. Its a very stout built stock tranny, with some mild internal mods and such It should be plenty tough enough for the 400whp I want. Anyone help us out here?...............

Won't work without a ton of modifying. The 5R110 is way more electronically sophisticated than the 4R, and the bolt pattern on the bell housing is different.
