Transmisson Question!
First off this is my first post here what a great forum with tons of info! Now onto the question I have a late 99 PSD 250 2wd Auto. It has 205,000 on the clock but is in nice shape. The Tranny was replaced in this truck around 75,000 and seems to shift nice no sliping or grinding or what not this is a stock truck!
My question is I have a buddy that works for ford and can get a decent discount on parts how good are there reman trannys? I know there no BTS or JW but I if i can pick one up for around 1,500 would it be worth the swap? I only plan on minor mods like exhuast and chip. What is the stock tranny that still in good shape worth? Thanks ahead of time for the help.
