I am looking to upgrade my 99 XL black bumper and grill to an 05 black XL grill and 05 black XL bumper. Any ideas on how to do this REALLY CHEAP.

really cheap? hmmmm... aftermarket headlights are usually cheaper than factory... ebay is a good source...i know a guy selling a paintable grille I can put you in contact if you want... as for bumper, you can always one run of mine.. but thats not "cheap" comparatively to my competitors its less expensive, but not cheap....

If you buy the 05 bumper the grill will fit just fine without cutting, if you want the grill only it can be trimmed to fit or there is a guy on Ebay that sells them pre cut. Look at pics in my sig, 2000 bumper with 05 grill and 05 headlights. PM me with any ?

Talking to some guys about this and they say the 05 bumper has different mounts to it to the frame. Is this true and how much are they usually?

Keep an eye on places like craigslist and kijiji in your area. A little patience and a deal will come along.

to do the full conversion properly you need the bumper, the grille, the headlights, the harnesses, and the header panel... that will give you the full look you are trying to get and require no cutting or modification....

I am not 100% sure but the headlights on my 99 look the same as the 07's .....My headlights are the XL headlights with the old style glass one piece design and the black plastic surround and they really look the same as 05-07. Maybe not but they look exact. I was wanting to keep that new work truck look and just have a 05 black xl grill and bumper.
