Lucas Oil treatment
I haven't had my 99 F-250 with the 7.3 Turbo very long, so I need to ask a question; A guy told me that he has been adding Lucas Oil Stabilizer at every oil change on his 99 7.3. He has about 225,000 on his, and he swears by the Lucas product. Do you agree with him?

Lucas Oil Stabilizer
I don't know where you live but sounds like you are talking about the man who lives behind me on the next street. His 2002 has about 225.000 on it and he says he uses it every time he changes the oil. He pulls a big race car trailer everywhere and he keeps that thing in the wind when he is going to a race. |

Modern Dino oils are so good there is no need for treatments like this. Take the money you spend on snake oil and send it to Blackstone Labs for a UOA every third oil change and you will be way ahead of your friend!! At least you will know for sure the condition of your oil, and engine as a hole, not to mention how well your air filter is working etc, plus you can prove it, not read some claims from a bottle.
Plus suse the search engine, Lucas is mentioned often!! NCH |

Thanks, I will use the search engine to check on the Lucas products. And, while I am showing my lack of knowledge; I have to admit that I am not familar with what you are recommending regarding Blackstone Labs and UAOs. Can you educate me, or point me in the right direction? Thanks again!

He's saying send in an oil sample to blackstone labs and they will send back an analysis.

Ask him if he's using the white bottle lucas or the black one. If its the white one he is harming his truck. It says right on the bottle Not designed for use in powerstroke diesels. The reason is it causes oil to foam. Foamy oil damages fuel injectors
