Possible truck purchase. Need Opinions!!

I have been hanging out on the forum for a couple of months doing research on a potential purchase. BTW, you guys have a great site with alot of information!!

I am considering buying a used powerstroke and I need to get the opinion from some folks with much more knowledge in the field of Diesels.

1999 F 250 xlt 4x4 long bed 7.3 172,000 miles.
Upgrades: BD Transmission/ Torque Converter, engine brake, snow methanol/water injection, 4" exhaust, Edge Attitude with Edg Juice, new turbo, front leveling kit.

Had an Oasis report ran and it came back clean.

We have settled on $10,500. Does this sound like a good deal?

If the truck is clean, runs good, no major leaks, and the Oasis came back good, sounds like a good deal to me. Just my .02 cents though. Enjoy and good luck!!

that isn't that many miles for a 7.3 if it was maintained and taken care of. Looks like the biggest weak link was taken care of with a BD trans, so I think you would be in for a good deal

I think the 99 had forged rods didn't they?? Just stronger bottom end if it did!!!

as a matter of fact, the 99-01's had the forged rods then they changed to that powdered metal crap. i heard that the forged rods are good for 600hp. just what i heard, not sure of it though. but go for it, its the best "stroke" out there
