Headlight upgrade suggestions???

Ok so these stock crappy headlights on the 99 f-350 are really starting to bother me. You cant see anything with them at all ive even gone threw town with my brights on by accident not once did anybody flash me . So im thinkin this is my next upgrade.

Ive been looking at many differnt things like the projector style headlights, just upgrading to clear headlight lenses, upgrading the bulb to silverstar, or even the HID upgrade.

I really would like to go HID but i heard they were illegal.. Is there any way to make them Legal in a truck???

WHat are yalls suggestions on this topic for my headlights???

get some clear headlights... that will help a lot... and yes HID are not DOT approved and no way to make them that way... projector headlights make them better though...

I bought the 03 headlights from Ford.I installed the Silverstar bulbs(think thats what they call them)

How much do those silverstar bulbs really help?

I like the look of those were did you get them? Also did you have to do any cutting to install them? How much better are they than the stock?

I put 07 Harley lights in my 02 F350. They look awsome. BUT!!!! You will have to do alot of trimming to make them fit. I think it was worth it to have newer style lights. My buddy bought some of those projector lights off Ebay they work great but I didn't like the look of them. It's just preferance. Good luck on which ever route you take.

I went the route of the '05-up Harley lights in mine... I was having the same problem you are, hazy lens, even tried the silverstars... they helped, but the newer style lights make a huge diffrence!!! I had right around $300 in the lights off ebay, and the relay style harness from GOS racing. Trimming the headder panel was easy, I took it off the truck... 2 hours tops, start to finish, including adjustment time.

i really dont want to have to cut anything.. Where can i get some good clear ones that will fit stock??

We got ours from a local speed shop. Yes I did a little trimming to get them in, but I feel it was worth it. Once properly adjusted, they are way better than our stock ones were.
