PO460 [fuel tank level indicator] & TPS

my early 99 6 speed

pickup threw a code at me PO460, my fuel gauge has been acting funny, so i

believe the code, do i need to replace sending unit, or can i clean contacts to

fix the problem with the sending unit, would i be wasting my time???

3 months ago my pickup threw a code for my throttle pedal, dont remember

code, but its not throwing code anymore, however, at low RPM and low

speed it seems that it cant hold a constant rpm, im not lugging the pickup,

the pedal also doesnt seem to react until it moves 3/4 inch or so, can the

TPS be tested or do i replace and hope i have not wasted money

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS

I am subscribing and giving you a bump....I have the exact same thing going on with my truck except I don't have a scanner so I don't know what my codes are. My gauge and pedal are doing the exact same thing though.

Mine started acting up today, so I'm subscribing to this thread. My guess is the sending unit but I'd like to know from somebody who had the same problem.

And to the OP, a bump moves the thread to the top of the list for better visibility. So when somebody replies "bump" they don't know the answer but they are moving your thread to the top of the forum in hopes that somebody who does know will see your thread.
