I was looking for either a new oil drain plug/washer and considering the fumoto since mine started leaking today. Randomly came across this kit online and it reminded me of folks in the rust belt.
Same with me, if I were going to spend that much for a band-aid, I would go
ahead and replace it with a new one. If he is making these out of fiberglass,
and then gluing them onto the pan, why couldn't you just clean your oil pan
and do a fiberglass right on the pain. You would have to talk to others, because
I don't know how well fiberglass holds up to heat. Good luck,
now go put on a new pan. LOL:frown2:

It's an interesting idea, the compounds it uses aren't cheap, here's a good vid on the process ->
Edit: Shoulda scrolled down on that page, didn't notice the vid was there already...
This has actually been around for some time. I think it has a pretty good success rate and, if you look what doing a pan change the "right way" costs, you'd find the $300 an awful cheap alternative!
For $300 you could get an engine hoist and stand and do it yourself. Then you would have them to use later.
