Let me see pics of yalls trucks with 2005+ headlights on a 99-2003. ive been thinking of gettin me a set of harley headlights.

Just for those who don't know..

The '05's up use The H13 its quite possibly the stupidest design for a bulb ever foisted on the public. The terminals are so small that they overheat, even at stock wattages, and melt the plastic housing of the connectors. Higher than stock wattage bulbs are offered, but not recommended. There are Chinese connectors that are being used to make these kits and no harness will fix the problem of to small of terminals. As of now no USA made plugs are made that I have seen and wouldn't solve the problem anyway.

You have the best headlight housings made now and the addition of Hellas harness and a set of their 80/100w 4k kelvin bulbs will give you fantastic lighting.

You can also do a fog bulb upgrade..75% as bright as Hids and mod the switch to use them with your high beams.

There are kits available i which you replace the halogen bulb with a gas discharge bulb. The gas discharge light source is 2.5 times as bright as the halogen bulb and does not focus correctly within the headlamp, as the headlamp was not designed for this bulb. Hids require alinement withen 1/5000" or the will cause major light scatter. This creates excessive glare (up to 100 times), which blinds oncoming drivers, and is very dangerous and illegal in every state.

IMO anyone selling these this kits are just making a fast buck with no reguard for the outcome of their use.

I paid 180 bucks for my aftermarket lights. Purchased off EBAY. Never had any problems.

I have had all three versions on my truck, 2000, 2003 and 2005, and to be honest I would use the 2003 and the upgraded harness from Gosracing, huge difference over the 99/2000 lights!! They also bolt right in , in about 15 min, the 05's require cutting the header panel all up and a different harness and bulbs. Plus there's lots of people going from 03 to 05 so you can get the 03's cheap. Not much light output difference between the 03 and 05 design. But make sure you run the upgraded harness with relays, don't use the pigtails. I have seen several melt the housing, but not with the harness from Gosracing or Dfuser.com. PM me with any ? I would only use genuine Ford lights, the Ebay crap will leak after time.

i have the harness from dfuser with genuine ford lights with some silverstar bulbs. The light output is a bit birghter than the 03 lights but i think thats to do with the harness and the bulbs.
