COOLANT TEMP??

Wat is the normal operating coolant temp for the 7.3, my truck runs 250+ on scanner at 70-75mph, installed new radiator and still 250+, is that high???

I have never checked mine, the next time I go on a decent run I will hook up my AE and let you know, but 250 seems a bit high. Over heating isn't usually a problem as our cooling systems are pretty robust. What are you using to give you the reading? Are you sure it is accurate? Where are you getting the temp from?

im not 100% sure its accurate, it runs 180 all day long at idle only rises at hwy speeds, sct tuner is what im using to monitor it

Mine runs between 190 and 230 but never really any higher then that.

well i have a X3 not X2, but u run the data logging it monitors boost, trans temp on 6.0's, ECT, IAT, etc...

250 is high. I knows it a 6.0 but right now with the cooler temps I rarely see over 170. During the summer I would see about 190-210

...that sounds like tranny instead of engine. wouldnt your thermostat never open up runnin 170

No, its definitely not my trans. My trans runs hotter

If I play around a good bit I can get it up and over 180ish but just normal driving it will rarely get over 175
