Wheel backspacing
Hi, i have 315/75/16 all terrains on my stock 16" aluminum wheels, and i know it is not right i'm buying rims to swap over i was looking at 16x8 with 4.25" backspacing. i was hoping someone could show me a picture of what it will look like? currently i have a 2" leveling kit in the front and the tires rub the springs when cranked to either side all the way. That should be plenty of backspacing to get rid of that problem but will the tires stick out way to far? As of right now my truck lookes kind of stupid becase the tires are tucked in and narrow because the stock rims are only 6 inches wide i believe. Any info is great!!! thank you

I run the same tire you're looking at and pretty sure the same wheel. Mine rub the leaf spring. They hit the band that holds the leafs together. After market springs (ProComp). Here are some pics with the new sliders! JUst bought tires this week. I'll try to get a few pics this weekend to show you more.

The stock wheels for a SRW 99-04 should be 16x7 (8" overall width) with a .25 BS.

when i had my aluminum rims off my 99 and measured them to balance (worked at a tire garage) they were only 6 or 6 1/2 inches wide. Thank you for the pictures Hank, if you get around to it a straight on front and rear shot would be awesome. And does it rub like right before the bump stop for the steering? i have factory springs i'm assuming that they are the same width though. Thanks again
