anyone? can a old injector make noise?

When injectors start to fail, get lazy, can they get noisy and click? sort of like a lifter?
Or even then no way do they make noise?
someone must know?
All the pressure from the hpop should make a popping sound? thats the diesel noise. I know this is beaten to death. I have dealt with the 8cyl cackle.
Just wondering if they can click?
thx

I think I have a couple bad ones. Once in a while I will get an intermittent "knock"

I have good ears for this stuff. Now that youmention it.It sounds like a selonoid, clicking. Thats the sound, real fast but like a selonoid. On drivers side..
Now, if i could figure out how a clicking can get thru the exhaust and sound like it but lessnoisy out the exhaust. I cut the factory muffler off and installed a 4 inch ss straight thru. I now hear a ticking out the back. I suppose its possible the noise could travel that far??
