so armed with all the great info i have gotten over the last six months i walked in to my local ford dealership today. i was convinced that the block heater plug was missing on my 02 dually. 5 min later i left happy but with a red face. turns out it was hiding . i must have literraly had my hand on it while i stared everywhere else to look for it god bless ford techs and if you cant find yours look BEHIND the liscence plate

I thought all 7.3L had the cord and 6.0L didn't come with them unless they were being shipped to 'extreme' climates.

In order to find mine I had to trace it from the block to behind the bumper. Finally pulled the plug to where I could easily get to it and used a plastic zip tie to the left upright behind the grill. Tucked out of the way so it's not visible, but I can get to it IF I need to.

All PSD'S came with a Block Heater except for 1997 which it was a option but most shipped with them anyway. Starting in 2005 the cord became a $45 option as did underhood insulation, wheel well liners, glove box lights and corteousy lights on the doors.
To find yours look where the oil filter mounts, you will see a organish colored connector, follow the cord to the front of the truck, if yours has never been used it will be zip tied up behind the grill. Now if you are going to plug in often do the Marinco mod, it is the only way to go and will cost about $20!!!
I did a write up on it and one of the Mods was kind enough to make it a sticky in the 7.3 mod help section.
