PCM Code

I am not around my pickup and want to get my dp-tuner ordered. If i go to the dealership with my vin number can they tell me the pcm code of a late 99?

I asked them which one I had a while back( just for curiousity)and they couldnt tell me with my Vin#.

I am not 100% sure on this, but I think that DP can program based off of you VIN. I would contact them and ask.

I dont thank Ford can tell your PCM off vin. Especially since so many PCM's are interchangeable.

Congrats you will love Jody's tunes, just make sure you have the supporting mods done first!! Looks like you have it covered except for a valvebody for the auto trans, if you have a auto?

nope its a 6 spd but i have done a Ford ais intake, straight pipe and gauges. I did talk to Jody and unfortunately he can't do it off the vin for this year anymore. It's not a big deal for me to get it but i just wanted to try to get it ordered so I can put it in next time im around my truck

Just pull yours off and look at the sticker on it. Then you'll know for sure.
