Air Intake Heater Relay?

Did the air intake heater come on all F-350 7.3L's?

I just put in the stancor GP relay and while looking at pictures on the write I noticed it was supposed to be located right next to the AIH relay. When i went out to my truck ( '99 f350) I noticed I didn't have this relay . . . .

Did a previous owner remove the AIH system or did it come from the factory this way?

Is the heater element itself gone on the intake? Some will put a plug in this spot and some use to get their boost reading for the gauge. I suppose someone could have removed the element and the relay that powers it. The only other thing I can think of is you have a CA truck which has a glow plug controller and not a relay and what you replaced was the AIH relay and not the GPR.

Or he has an early 99 with no AIH to start with

I'm pretty sure it was the GP relay I replaced, all the wiring was correct for the GP's.
It is probably a early '99 then.

That could be true as well, forgot this forum groups the early 99's in with the later.
