stock gear ratio?
I am trying to figure out what gears I have in my truck. I looked on the tag on the driver's door and didn't see the code (don't know if I'm just blind or what). There is no code for the axle on it that I saw. The closest code to it was an RC 71. I can't even read the tag on the rear axle housing anymore. It's worn and peeling.
My truck is a 2000 F250 4wd with the 4r100 auto tranny. Is there anyplace else i can look on the truck to find the gear ratio? |

There is a way to look it up by your vin number

Should be able to do it on fords website but it is not giving me all the information. I tried it like five times with my vin and even tried some other vin decoder websites and most of those want you to pay for more info. Maybe you could just call your local ford dealer and ask them. Should be able to tell you real quick!

You should have a tag on both axles, try looking on the front one. My guess is you have a 3.73 as that seems to be the most common for a SRW SD. If you are running stock tires, you should be about 2k RPM @ 70MPH with 3.73's.
BTW, Lemoore sucks. I need my 150GA tank just to get anywhere.
