Anyone ever have this happen?
I was driving down Mex1 through Loreto and hit a speed bump causing the cable to my spare tire carrier to bust. The spare took off my trailer light plug, beat up one fender on the trailer and lodged under the axle of the trailer. I'm just glad I wasn't going 70mph down the freeway when it let go. Does anyone have a more secure way to mount the spare to the frame?

At first I thought that a bearing had seized on the trailer, it became very hard to pull and I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a lot of smoke.
