Injector and compression question
Hi all I have a early 99 f350 and am trying to diagnose an injector problem. I would like to do the buzz test, but am unsure what kind of code reader I need to perform it. I would also like to be able to do a cylinder contribution test. What is the cheapest way to be able to do these tests? Is there any way to diagnose a faulty injector after it is removed or without a tool? Also, what kind of numbers is everyone getting when doing a compression test? Has anyone done the test with a cold engine? Thanks, -Chris

A "code reader" will not do what your wanting, you need to have a diagnostic scan tool. I have a program for my laptop called Autoenginuity (AutoEnginuity - OBD2 Scan Tool - Professional PC and PDA Diagnostics) that is fairly affordable and easy to use and it will do anything you want it to do. I would swear by it and the Cust. service is awesome

I wonder if there is interest in having the advanced test hardware in a library and it could be checked out (UPS'ed) and returned (and checked out).
Hmmm. |
