You can get a code from a faulty pedal switch yes. As for your tranny I recommend taking it to AAMCO.com - Home (Transmission Repair, Transmission Service by Aamco. Car Repairs & More) the home of transmission problems. I have had good luck with this company on alot of tranny issues. Plus they have a warranty and they are nationwide.

I never experinced any problems with the pedal switch. But the tranny yeah I had that problem hard shifting into certain gears, eventually i needed to get a rebuild.

average cost for a solid upgraded rebuild is around 2,200 from aamco, including labor and 12,000 mile one year warranty. I do like my trans I have had no problems with it yet. I still have a bit of the warranty on it so if I do have problems I can take it back before the warranty is up.

Does the tranny do the same in all the settings on the chip, or just the one setting? Sounds like the tc is locking up funny on it, and if it's just on that one setting, it could be the programing for the trans on the chip.

Gord.
