A ballpark temp would be, outside temp + 100 degrees is a place to start. Depending on your cooler setups.

With out knowing your ambiant temp its hard to say. Go record the temp and the drive it around tell its at operating temp and let us know what you have and then we cans say if its where it needs to be. To hot would be anything in the 300's to high 200's although I dont like my truck going over 200.

That is too hot, if you are towing thats another story, but that temp is too high.... I dont like anything over 200 and the jersey summers dont even set me over that and they can be brutal with the heat and humidity. Texas is the same but it still shouldnt be getting that high.

Shouldnt be, check the cooler lines at the transmission for the check valve or replace the cooler, it may be partially clogged.

Mine ran hotter after I had it rebuilt. Did they replace your cooler. No reputable shop would rebuild a trans and leave the original cooler in. The design makes them extremely hard to clean out.

Shop around for a 6.0 cooler if you can find one. There is no aftermarket cooler that can compete with it.

I fully agree.

As camptoboat says, "Depending on your cooler setups." The stock cooler is only 9 rows. You can put in a 6.0L cooler which is 31 rows. It bolts in the same place, you have to get some 1/2" hose, some adapters to go from 1/2" to 3/8" line (stock truck line). After I installed mine, the temps dropped. On 100* degree days here, the tranny runs about 165-180*. On days in the winter, where temps are in the 30-40s, the tranny runs just above 100*. Very helpful when pulling my 5th wheel. In the summer I could easily peg my 250* gauge witht the stock cooler. After I changed the cooler, temps don't get about 180-195*.

Something for you to consider.
