02 7.3 Shuting off

I Have a 2002 7.3 with 201,000 miles on it. The motor has shut off on me a few times in the last week going down the road. At 40 to 55 mph the truck has a real bad vibration and i know it isnt in the drivetrain because when i let off the gas the vibration stops. It also when idleing is reall lugish and sounds like it wants to die. Any advise would be great! thanks

my first thought is that maybe your fuel pump is wanting to go out on you or maybe your HPOP. i would do a fuel pressure test on it and see if there are any leaks. if it shuts off again dont turn the key back on and go look inside your fuel bowl and see if there is any fuel in there, if its empty then your pump is the problem.

CPS could be the cause, you should carry a spare anyway so throw a new one in and see if that fixes it. I would also check for codes and inspect your UVC harness for loose or burnt connections.

Ive been out of town so couldnt check post. i ran a scan on it and the icp sensor came up and the exhaust pressure sensor. i changed the icp sensor and it ran alot better. it hasnt shut off and motor isnt luggin. im still tryin to figure out why it vibrates so bad at 40 to 60. But it only does it when im in the gas. ive talked to a few mechanics and none of them know what it is. thanks for the replies.
