The best we have used is the ones buy Elite-Diesel. Some will argue DP-Tuning or Tonywildman. All of them are great custom tuners for the 7.3l. We sell alot of the TS and Elite chips. TS would be considered an "Off the shelf" chip. Lots of 7.3 guys here, you will get lots of opinions. Good crowd here.

DP for me, Mainly because after my SCT, the power was awesome, the shifts were vastly improved, and it just seems to be so smooth for all round driving. Even in the snow, it works just fine unless you get silly with it. And when you get on it WOW.

Just my 2 cents but i would have to say the ts. I had the upper three levels custom programmed and i love it. It has great idle characteristics and super low egts. I hate to admit it but before the Ts i had a Western Performance chip and it was junk. The 100hp setting didnt always work and it would cut in and out. Good luck

The difference between the SCT and a Twildman or a DP is about the same as the SCT and stock on a 7.3. You are comparing a generic programer with custom tunes on a flip chip. There is no comparison.
