i dont know about the best, but alot of folks run shell rotella. its cheap, good, and easy to find.
the filter shouldnt be overlooked either, id go with a motocraft or wix.

im rollin a 6.0 but i run rotella 15/40 and love it

Shell oil here too, save some $$ find an international dealer, get your filters there fuel filter too.
