Vacume Pump Running

Hey, how much is yalls vacume pump running, can you hear it in the cab?
Mine seems to run for a while then shut off for a minute, then cut back on, I am fairly certain that i dont have a leak on the A/C side i checked with a mityvac type tool. The ESOF side is where I may have a problem. Funny thing is my ESOF works perfectly. Maybe a weak pump, it does kind of cackle. Let me know.

Thanks

Mine was running a lot more than it should have been. Found a vacuum line for the front hubs had been chewed through by a rat. Have you checked to see if your hubs are engaging when you select 4x4?

I thought that those lines only got pressurized when you flicked the 4x4 switch? And yes, when I turn on 4x4 it locks and engages, it seems that it doesnt unlock the hubs I have to help them.

Mine runs 9 out of 10 times while waiting for the Wait To Start light to go out. I can't tell if it is runing after the engine is running. I have crumby ESOF lines at the wheels but the HVAC always work fine.

If it is running that much you have a leak, the most common place is where the vacuum line simply slips over the nipple on the back of the hub. The end of the hose will split, just cut off the damaged area and slip it back on.
