I need a new timing cover for my 1999 and can get a dorman cover with gaskets for $240 with gaskets or a motorcraft for $350 plus $50 for gaskets. Are the dorman covers any good or should I just get the motorcraft?
So I got a new ford timing cover it is different than my old one it doesn't have the grove for the oring on the oil reservoir side. Does this mean I need to use the one with the oring- gasket with the screen?
where did your order it from? did you use your vin? there is a late build and an early build for the 7.3l built in 1999 with some inherent differences.
