Need help
Well the tranny finaly went out on me today. Driving down the road and next thing i know temp hit 220 and fluid was pouring out of the tranny so now its at the shop. The truck still shifts fine just overheats and pours fluid. We are thinking the torque converter has gone out and caused it to get hot and burn up the seals. either way im gonna go ahead and get an aftermarcket torque converter what is a good kind to get. I was thinking the banks billet any ideas i also cant go spending 1500 for a converter.

I had the same thing happen to mine. Wound up grenading the TC after refilling the tranny for the 3rd time. I wasnt lucky enough to be able to just replace the TC. My tranny was within 3K miles of going out anyhow. My clutch plates had burn marks all over them. Wound up having to get a whole new tranny put in.
BTW I wound up going with a Precision Triple Disc Billet Converter per recommendation of my tranny shop. |

I don't know about the banks personally, but i would stay away from their stuff. There are way better products out there. Check out BTS or suncoast.
