7.3 liter DCA60L Coolant Additive

Anyone out there know if you can just add DCA4 additive to the raditor without having to flush and refill. Engine has 40K. I read that on the 7.3 that this additive is a must. But, I hate to flush it with just 40K.

I believe my owners manual said to drain and flush the cooling system for the first time at 50k and then every 30k after that if you have the green coolant. Add 8 oz. of SCA every 15k and a whole bottle (I think they come in pint size bottles) after every drain and flush cycle. They advise not to over charge the cooling system with the SCA though. Guess too much of a good thing is bad in this case
