I put an old rag in the air intake just before the turbo charger so whilst i washed down the engine bay etc. left the truck to dry off for a hour then thought i would go out and fire the truck to make sure everything is still working but like a fool i forgot to remove the rag!!!
so as i fired the truck it started loaping real bad the cut out in a huge smoke cloud. Set to work striping the pipework expecting the worst but thank the lord turbo and rag all still in tact!!!Rebuilt and truck fired right back up minus the smoke

Wow that is a scary thing. I did that with an 8V92 Detroit once in a Pete. Scared the hell out of me. Thank god all the those turbos have a mesh screen over them to stop stuff from getting sucked in.

One thing i have to thank the truck for is my girl as she looked at me in it thinkin look at that crazy fool! now we are engaged so thanks powerstroke!
